If you want a Plug-in Hybrid, strongly prioritize the post-2022 models (18.8 kWh battery). Not only do they offer double the electric range, but Volvo also removed the mechanical supercharger and updated the ERAD system, significantly improving long-term reliability. Early T8 models (2018-2021) should be approached with caution and ideally purchased with an extended warranty due to potential ERAD and HVCH failures. Despite some software gremlins with the newer Android system, the V60 remains one of the most compelling premium estates on the market.
