The Volvo EX30 is a paradoxical vehicle. On paper and on the road, it's an excellent small electric SUV: powerful, stylish, and offered at an aggressive price. However, cost reduction has been pushed to the extreme in the cabin, sacrificing ergonomics (all-touch) on the altar of minimalism, which can be frustrating or even dangerous in daily use. Furthermore, its launch was marred by unfinished software. Buying advice: If you are attracted by its design and performance, opt for the Single Motor Extended Range version for its versatility. Absolutely ensure that the vehicle has received all recent software updates. Used models from late 2023/early 2024 must be thoroughly tested to ensure the stability of the central screen.
