🎯 Verdict

The Volkswagen Up! Phase 2 is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and reliable city cars of its generation. Its aging is excellent thanks to quality materials and proven mechanics (EA211 family). For strictly urban use, the 1.0 MPI 60 or 65 hp with a manual gearbox is an indestructible and economical choice. If you drive outside cities, the 1.0 TSI 90 hp is a must-have that transforms the car. The e-up! (32.3 kWh version from late 2019) is an excellent used purchase for anyone looking for a reliable and enduring urban EV. The only golden rule: avoid the ASG automated manual gearbox, it's unpleasant and a source of breakdowns.
