The Volkswagen T-Cross I facelifted (Phase 2, internal code C11) was unveiled mid-2023, with deliveries starting in 2024. Based on the proven MQB-A0 platform (shared with the Polo and Skoda Kamiq), this B-segment urban SUV corrects the main flaw of the first phase: perceived quality. The dashboard finally adopts soft-touch plastics and stitching, while the exterior features new bumpers and Matrix LED headlights (IQ.Light) on higher trims. Devoid of any hybridization (even mild), it relies on the maturity of its TSI thermal engines (EA211 evo and evo2 generation). It is an eminently pragmatic, rational vehicle, with excellent spaciousness thanks to its 14 cm sliding rear bench seat.
The Volkswagen T-Cross facelifted (2023-2025) is the archetype of a rational purchase. By correcting its main flaw (the basic interior finish of phase 1), it becomes one of the most well-rounded urban SUVs on the market. Its MQB-A0 platform and TSI engines are now free of their early issues, offering a very high level of reliability. Although it foregoes hybridization, its lightness and the efficiency of its engines largely compensate. The ideal choice is the 1.0 TSI 115 hp, a perfect compromise between running costs, performance, and versatility.
