The Toyota Yaris III (XP130 generation) is a versatile B-segment city car. Produced in Valenciennes for the European market (« Origine France Garantie » label), it marked a turning point by democratizing hybrid technology (HSD) in this segment. If you are looking for a petrol city car, opt for the 1.5 VVT-iE 111 hp (post-2017) which offers the best performance/reliability compromise, or the small 1.0 VVT-i if you never leave the city. The 1.33 VVT-i should be avoided on 2011-2013 model years due to its oil consumption. Although this report focuses on petrol, it's impossible not to recommend the Hybrid (HSD) version, which remains the undisputed queen of the range for its indestructible reliability and fuel efficiency. Avoid the diesel (D-4D), unsuitable for the car's urban purpose.
