The fourth-generation Toyota RAV4 (XA40) marks a decisive turning point in the model's history. The fourth-generation Toyota RAV4 is an extremely rational and safe choice, provided you choose the right engine. The Hybrid (HSD) version is the absolute best buy: it offers unparalleled reliability, remarkable driving smoothness, and excellent resale value. Classic gasoline versions are also indestructible but consume more fuel. However, diesel engines should be avoided if you drive in the city or make short trips, as they suffer from the usual ailments related to emission control (DPF, EGR). Opt for a facelifted model (post-2016) to benefit from better sound insulation and a more premium interior finish.
