Toyota Highlander III (XU50) (2013 – 2019)

The third-generation Toyota Highlander (XU50) is a 3-row family SUV (up to 8 seats) designed primarily for the North American market, but also sold in Asia, Russia, and Oceania (under the name Kluger). Renowned for its exceptional reliability, it received a major facelift for the 2017 model year (late 2016), introducing a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, D-4S direct injection for the V6, and a redesigned front fascia. Although it was not officially imported to Western Europe at that time (unlike the subsequent XU70 generation), it remains an absolute global benchmark in its class, offering an unbeatable total cost of ownership (TCO), particularly in its hybrid version.
