Reliability score : 8.8/10

The seventh-generation Toyota Camry (codename XV50) is a mid-size sedan globally recognized for its exceptional reliability, comfort, and controlled running costs. Although it was not officially marketed in Western Europe (where Toyota favored the Avensis), it dominated the North American, Asian, Russian, and Middle Eastern markets. 🎯 Verdict

The Toyota Camry XV50 is the archetype of a rational purchase. It's not the most exciting sedan to drive, but it excels in its mission: transporting its occupants in great comfort, with almost unparalleled reliability. Buying advice: Prioritize facelifted models (from late 2014 / 2015 model year). They benefit from a stiffer chassis, better soundproofing, a more upscale interior, and, most importantly, the automatic gearbox torque converter issues (on the 2.5L) were resolved at the factory. The Hybrid version is the best choice for daily use thanks to its negligible consumption for its size, while the V6 will delight those who appreciate American-style smoothness.
