Toyota Auris II (E180) (2012 – 2018)

Reliability score : 9.0/10

The Toyota Auris II (E180) marks a turning point for the Japanese manufacturer in the European C-segment. 🎯 Verdict

The Toyota Auris II is an extremely rational and reassuring purchase choice, provided you target the 1.8 Hybrid (HSD) powertrain. It is in this configuration that it reveals its full potential: smooth driving, fuel savings, and almost unrivaled reliability in the used car market. Gasoline versions (1.2T and naturally aspirated) are very good alternatives for smaller budgets. However, diesel versions (D-4D) offer little interest compared to the hybrid, especially as they suffer from the usual ailments of this type of powertrain (DPF, EGR, chain on the 1.6). Opt for a Phase 2 model (after 2015) to benefit from a more upscale interior and better soundproofing.
