The Suzuki Splash is a highly pragmatic, no-nonsense city car. If you prioritize mechanical reliability, low running costs, and cabin headroom over boot space and ride comfort, it is an excellent used buy. Avoid the 1.3 DDiS diesel unless you do significant highway mileage, as city driving will inevitably lead to expensive DPF and EGR issues. The 1.2L petrol is the sweet spot, offering enough power for occasional highway trips while remaining incredibly reliable. Look for a post-2012 facelift model with a full service history for the best ownership experience.
