The Seat Ibiza V is an extremely rational and recommendable choice on the used car market. By avoiding diesel engines (1.6 TDI), which are unsuitable for a city car's purpose and sources of costly breakdowns (DPF, EGR), one discovers a brilliant and very reliable petrol (TSI) range. The expert's choice: Opt for a post-facelift model (from mid-2021 onwards) equipped with the 1.0 TSI 95 or 110 hp engine with a manual gearbox. You will benefit from a much better-finished interior, up-to-date technology, and a time-tested mechanical setup. The DSG7 gearbox is pleasant but requires smooth driving in the city to preserve its dry clutches. The 1.0 MPI is best reserved for strictly urban use due to its limited performance.
