The Renault Scenic III is a highly competent, comfortable, and practical family vehicle that successfully erased the poor reliability reputation of its predecessor. However, your ownership experience will be entirely dictated by the engine you choose. For Petrol Buyers: The old-school 1.6 16v and 2.0 16v are the ones to buy. They are thirsty and lack modern turbo punch, but they will not break down. The 1.4 TCe is a decent middle ground.
