Nissan Qashqai II (J11) (2013 – 2021)

Reliability score : 7.2/10

The Nissan Qashqai II (J11) is the second generation of the crossover that essentially created the modern compact SUV segment. 🎯 Verdict

The Nissan Qashqai J11 is a tale of two eras. If you are looking for a petrol model, you must absolutely avoid the 1.2 DIG-T due to its severe design flaws leading to engine failure. Instead, aim for a late 2018 or newer model equipped with the brilliant 1.3 DIG-T, which transforms the car into a highly recommendable, reliable, and punchy family SUV. For high-mileage drivers, the 1.5 dCi remains a solid, frugal workhorse. Regardless of the engine, favor manual transmissions or the newer 7-speed DCT over the fragile Xtronic CVT. A post-2017 facelift model with the 1.3 DIG-T and a manual gearbox is the sweet spot of the range.
