The second-generation Nissan Juke (codename F16) is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF-B platform, shared with the Renault Captur II and Clio V. It corrects the main flaws of its predecessor (the F15) by offering significantly increased passenger space, a larger boot, and greatly improved interior finish, while retaining a divisive and original design. CAUTION REGARDING DIESEL: Unlike the first generation which offered the famous 1.5 dCi, the Juke II (F16) has NEVER been offered with a diesel engine, Nissan having made the strategic choice to abandon this fuel in this segment. The range is exclusively built around a 3-cylinder petrol engine and, since 2022, a hybrid powertrain (Renault's E-Tech technology).
The Nissan Juke II (F16) is a mature urban crossover. If you absolutely need a diesel, you'll have to look elsewhere or consider a used Renault Captur II or Peugeot 2008. However, the 1.0 DIG-T petrol engine proves to be an excellent, reliable companion, with a robust timing chain. It's the most rational choice. The Hybrid version is interesting for pure city dwellers, but its complex gearbox requires rigorous monitoring of software updates. Prioritize N-Connecta or Tekna trims with 17-inch wheels to maintain a minimum level of comfort.
