The Nissan Ariya is an extremely comfortable, luxurious, and accomplished electric SUV in terms of the onboard experience. However, its launch was chaotic, marked by software (inverter) and hardware (motor seals, slip rings) issues that required multiple recalls. Buying advice: Favor models produced from late 2023 / 2024 onwards, which benefited from factory fixes. If you are targeting a 2022 or 2023 used model, demand proof that all recalls (especially those related to the inverter and traction motor) have been performed by Nissan. The 2WD 87 kWh version represents the best range-to-price compromise.
