MINI Countryman III (U25) (2024 – Présent)

Reliability score : 8.2/10

The MINI Countryman III (U25) marks a major turning point for the brand. Based on BMW's FAAR platform (shared with the BMW X1 U11), it grows considerably (+13 cm in length) to become a true C-segment family SUV. It is also the first MINI assembled in Germany (Leipzig plant). 🎯 Verdict

The MINI Countryman III (U25) becomes more bourgeois and a true family SUV, losing some of its 'go-kart' feel in favor of comfort and technology. The Diesel version (Countryman D) is an extremely relevant choice for high-mileage drivers: the BMW B47 engine coupled with 48V mild-hybridization is a model of smoothness, reliability, and fuel efficiency. It is paradoxically one of the safest powertrains in the range in the long term, provided you drive enough to avoid fouling. The main drawback at the start of its career concerns the electronics (OS 9 bugs) and the major recall of the IBS braking system. If you buy a 2024 model, demand proof that the braking module has been checked or replaced.
