MG ZS EV II (2024 – 2025)

Reliability score : 8.2/10

MG ZS EV (Generation II / Facelift) The MG ZS EV Generation II (introduced as a heavy facelift in late 2021 and continuing through 2024-2025) solidified MG's reputation as a dominant player in the affordable electric vehicle segment. Moving away from the ICE-adapted look of the first generation, this iteration features a stamped, closed-off front grille, revised LED lighting, and a significantly upgraded interior with the new iSMART infotainment system. For the 2024-2025 model years, the ZS EV is offered primarily with two battery options: a 50.3 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery for the Standard Range, and a 70 kWh NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery for the Long Range. While the focus is heavily on the EV variants in Europe, MG continues to sell ICE (Internal Combustion Engine)

🎯 Verdict

Final Verdict: ACHETER (BUY) The MG ZS EV (2024-2025) remains one of the most rational and pragmatic purchases in the electric vehicle market. While it lacks the dynamic polish, ultra-fast charging, and software fluidity of more expensive European or Korean rivals, it compensates massively with interior space, standard equipment, and an excellent 7-year warranty. Recommendation: The Standard Range (50.3 kWh) is the pick of the lineup. Its LFP battery is inherently more robust, tolerates daily 100% charging, and offers more than enough range for daily duties. The Long Range is good, but the price premium pushes it into the territory of more advanced competitors like the BYD Atto 3 or base Tesla Model Y. If buying used or nearly new, ensure all software updates have been applied and have the 12V battery tested.
