MG ZS EV II (2024 – 2025)

Reliability score : 8.4/10

The MG ZS EV (Generation II / Phase 2) is a 100% electric compact SUV produced by the Chinese SAIC Motor group under the British marque. Deeply restyled in late 2021, the 2024-2025 models benefit from significant technical maturity. It stands out by abandoning the false grille in favor of a full front fascia, integrating the charging port. Positioned as one of the most affordable family electric SUVs on the market, it offers a formidable price/spaciousness/equipment ratio. The iSMART infotainment system has been modernized, although it remains imperfect. The manufacturer's warranty of 7 years or 150,000 km is a major reassurance argument for this model.

🎯 Verdict

The MG ZS EV (2024-2025) is an eminently pragmatic choice. It shines neither by its dynamism nor by its charging speed on the highway, but it excels in its role as an economical and comfortable family SUV. Mechanical and electrical reliability is present, supported by an excellent 7-year warranty. Buying advice : The Standard Range (50.3 kWh) version is the most rational choice. Its LFP battery is extremely durable, tolerates full charges, and its motor is paradoxically more powerful. The Long Range version should only be preferred if you regularly make interurban trips of more than 200 km.
