🎯 Verdict

The first-generation MG ZS EV is an extremely rational choice for anyone looking for a family electric SUV on a controlled budget. While it doesn't flatter the ego with its onboard technology (the central screen requires patience) or its highway range, it perfectly fulfills its role as a daily 'commuter', comfortable and spacious. The reliability of the electric drivetrain (supplied by SAIC) is excellent, with serious breakdowns being extremely rare. Inconveniences are generally limited to a capricious 12V battery or multimedia bugs. Buy with confidence for suburban use, prioritizing a model with a clear service history (and thus software updates) to benefit from the remainder of the 7-year warranty.
