Mazda CX-30 I (DM) (2019 – 2025)

Reliability score : 8.6/10

The Mazda CX-30 (DM generation) is a compact SUV positioned between the aging CX-3 and the family-oriented CX-5. Based on the Mazda 3 (BP) platform, it stands out with its very fluid 'Kodo' design, an interior finish bordering on the premium segment, and dynamic road handling. 🎯 Verdict

The Mazda CX-30 is one of the most reliable and best-finished compact SUVs of its generation. If you are specifically targeting the 1.8 Skyactiv-D Diesel engine, the purchase is conditional on your driving profile: it is excellent and frugal for high-mileage drivers covering many kilometers on roads and highways. However, if your usage includes city driving or short trips (< 20 km), AVOID the diesel to prevent chronic DPF, EGR valve, and oil dilution problems. In this case, opt for the excellent 2.0 e-Skyactiv G (or the 2.5 depending on your market), which offers almost irreproachable reliability and complete peace of mind.
