The Range Rover L460 is arguably the most accomplished luxury SUV of its generation in terms of comfort, refinement, and off-road capabilities. The switch to the BMW V8 (P530) is excellent news for drivability and efficiency compared to the previous generation. However, the impressive list of official recalls (affecting the engine, electronics, and even the structure) on the 2022 to 2024 model years dictates the utmost caution. It is imperative to buy a model with a crystal-clear maintenance history and on which all manufacturer fixes have been applied. An extended warranty is highly recommended. Favor a model from late 2023 / 2024 onwards, where the main teething problems were corrected at the factory.
