Kia XCeed I (CD) (2019 – 2025)

Reliability score : 8.5/10

The Kia XCeed (Generation I, code CD) is a compact crossover derived from the Ceed sedan. Designed specifically for the European market and assembled in Slovakia (Žilina), it stands out with increased ground clearance, a sloping coupé-like roofline, and specific suspension settings (hydraulic bump stops) offering an excellent comfort/dynamism compromise. Restyled in late 2022 (new light signature, introduction of the GT-line trim, infotainment update), the XCeed benefits from the famous 7-year or 150,000 km manufacturer's warranty, making it a particularly reassuring purchase on the used car market. It is a mature model, benefiting from the proven powertrains of the Hyundai-Kia group.

🎯 Verdict

The Kia XCeed is one of the most recommendable compact crossovers on the used car market. Its mechanical reliability is excellent, largely supported by the 7-year warranty which still covers the majority of models in circulation. The 1.5 T-GDI 160 hp engine represents the absolute best choice for its versatility and driving pleasure. The PHEV version is relevant for commuting, although its trunk is reduced. Diesel versions should be reserved for very high mileage drivers to avoid depollution issues. The only real point of attention concerns the DCT7 gearbox, which requires a thorough test drive in urban environments before purchase.
