🎯 Verdict

The Kia Sorento IV (MQ4) is an undeniable success that encroaches on premium SUV territory. In its 2.2 CRDi engine version, it represents the sensible choice for large families, high-mileage drivers, and those who need to tow. The aluminum block and 8DCT gearbox form a powerful and relatively fuel-efficient duo on the highway. However, this modern diesel dislikes city driving: if your use is predominantly urban or suburban, opt for the HEV or PHEV versions to avoid costly clogging problems (DPF/EGR). Before purchasing a used model (2020-2022), demand proof that the gearbox recall has been carried out. If the history is clear, it is a highly recommendable purchase.
