The third-generation Kia ProCeed (code name CD) marks a radical turning point in the model's history. Abandoning the 3-door coupé body of the previous generation (pro_cee'd) due to falling demand, it reinvents itself as an elegant shooting brake (5-door 'Shooting Brake'). Designed, developed, and manufactured in Europe (Slovakia) specifically for the European market, it combines the boot volume of a traditional wagon (594 liters) with a sleek and dynamic roofline. The Kia ProCeed is a bold and rational choice. It offers the aesthetics of a coupé with the practicality of a wagon. The 1.6 CRDi 136hp diesel engine is an excellent companion for high-mileage drivers: it is frugal, torquey, and generally very reliable thanks to the modern Smartstream block design. However, this diesel must absolutely be used for what it was designed for: long journeys. Exclusive urban use will inevitably lead to DPF and EGR problems, and will strain the DCT7 dual-clutch gearbox. If you drive less than 15,000 km per year or do a lot of city driving, opt for the excellent 1.5 T-GDi 160hp. In any case, the 7-year warranty provides true peace of mind, provided you purchase a model with an impeccable service history.
