🎯 Verdict

The Kia pro_cee'd (JD) is an excellent choice on the used car market for anyone looking for a compact coupé with a strong design without sacrificing reliability. The petrol engines are generally trouble-free. The 1.4 MPI is indestructible but anemic, best reserved for city driving. The 1.0 T-GDI is the perfect rational choice post-2015. For enthusiasts, the pro_cee'd GT (1.6 T-GDI 204 hp) is an unknown gem: it offers GTI performance with superior mechanical reliability compared to its European competitors of the same era, provided maintenance has been rigorous. If possible, avoid models equipped with the DCT7 gearbox if you do a lot of city driving, as the manual gearbox is much more durable.
