It is highly durable, incredibly fuel-efficient, and benefits from a robust timing chain. However, do not buy the diesel for city driving or short school runs. Modern emissions equipment (DPF, EGR, SCR/AdBlue) will inevitably clog and fail under these conditions, leading to expensive repairs that may not be covered by the warranty if deemed 'improper use'.
