KGM Tivoli (2015 – Présent (Rest)

Reliability score : 8.0/10

The Tivoli is the renaissance model for the South Korean manufacturer, initially marketed under the SsangYong brand before becoming KGM (KG Mobility) in 2024. This urban SUV (B-segment) stands out for its particularly aggressive price/space/equipment ratio. While it doesn't shine with its dynamism or the nobility of its materials, it offers a robust and rational design. The major facelift in 2019 significantly modernized the interior and introduced new turbocharged (T-GDi) engines, much more pleasant than the old naturally aspirated units. The extended version (XLV, then Grand) is based on the same technical platform. It's a vehicle of choice for pragmatic buyers looking for an economical alternative to the European stars of the segment.

🎯 Verdict

The KGM (SsangYong) Tivoli is the ultimate rational choice. SNUBBED by the market due to its unfamiliar badge, it suffers from dizzying depreciation, making it a real bargain on the used market. Mechanically very robust (especially with the naturally aspirated petrol engine and the Aisin automatic gearbox), it won't break the bank in repairs, although its fuel consumption is above average. Opt for a post-2019 model (Phase 2) with the 1.5 T-GDi engine for modern driving pleasure and a significantly more upscale interior. Buy it to keep it until the end.
