Jaguar XF II facelift (X260) (2020 – 2024)

Reliability score : 7.4/10

The second-generation Jaguar XF (X260) received a major mid-cycle facelift at the end of 2020. While the exterior evolves subtly (new LED headlights, redesigned bumpers), the interior undergoes a true revolution with much higher quality materials and the integration of the excellent Pivi Pro infotainment system on an 11.4-inch curved screen. Under the hood, Jaguar has drastically simplified the offering: farewell to the noble V6s, the range focuses exclusively on the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Ingenium engines (gasoline and mild-hybrid diesel). This rational choice aims to reduce emissions, but deprives the XF of prestigious powertrains compared to its German competitors. However, the XF remains one of the most dynamic and elegant sedans in its segment.

🎯 Verdict

The facelifted Jaguar XF (2020-2024) is a sedan with character aimed at those who want to drive something different. The facelift corrected its biggest flaw: a dated interior. Now luxurious and technologically up to date with the Pivi Pro system, it shines with its road handling. However, the restriction to only 4-cylinder Ingenium engines limits its mechanical appeal. Favor the gasoline versions (P250/P300), which are more reliable in the long term than the diesel if maintenance is rigorous (annual oil changes are imperative). The staggering depreciation makes it an excellent deal on the used market, provided it is purchased with a solid warranty and a clear history.
