The first-generation Jaguar XE (X760) received a major facelift in 2019. This facelift corrected the main flaw of the initial version: the interior finish quality. The 2019 facelift corrected its finish flaws, making it a true premium alternative. In petrol engines (P250/P300), it proves to be a wise and generally reliable choice, provided you monitor the turbo oil circuit and halve the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations (oil change every 15,000 km maximum). The diesel versions are to be avoided for low-mileage drivers due to chronic DPF and timing chain problems. The steep depreciation makes it an excellent bargain on the used market, but requires a meticulous purchase (complete history and recalls performed).
