🎯 Verdict

The Hyundai Tucson III is an excellent used car choice on the European market, provided you target the right version. The 1.6 GDI and 1.6 T-GDI gasoline engines are mechanically very robust. However, the DCT-7 automatic gearbox requires absolute vigilance during the test drive: at the slightest judder, walk away or negotiate clutch replacement. Opt for a manual gearbox version for complete peace of mind, or choose the excellent diesels (1.6 or 2.0 CRDi) if you drive a lot. Warning: For buyers in North America, the 2.0 and 2.4 gasoline versions are to be strictly avoided unless the engine has already been replaced under warranty by Hyundai and the KSDS update is certified.
