🎯 Verdict

The second-generation Hyundai i30 is an extremely rational and safe used car choice, particularly with the 1.6 CRDi diesel engine. Unlike some European competitors of the same era, it suffers from very few chronic flaws. The U2 (CRDi) engines are true workhorses capable of handling high mileages if basic maintenance is respected. Prefer a manual gearbox version for total peace of mind, the DCT-7 gearbox requiring more vigilance. It's a trouble-free compact, ideal for high-mileage drivers looking for an unbeatable quality/price/reliability ratio.
