Honda ZR-V I (RZ) e:HEV (2022 – Présent)

Reliability score : 9.1/10

The Honda ZR-V (RZ generation) is a compact SUV designed to bridge the gap between the HR-V and CR-V. Based on the excellent 11th-generation Civic platform, it stands out with superior driving dynamics for the segment, a sedan-like driving position, and a refined interior finish. In Europe, it is exclusively marketed with the 2.0 e:HEV non-rechargeable hybrid powertrain. In other markets (Japan, China, Oceania), it offers a 1.5 VTEC Turbo engine, while in North America, where it is sold under the 'HR-V' name, it is content with a 2.0 naturally aspirated engine. It is a very accomplished vehicle, penalized mainly by a modest boot volume for its category.

🎯 Verdict

The Honda ZR-V is a rational choice coupled with a passionate one for those who enjoy driving. Its Civic-derived platform gives it exceptional road qualities for an SUV. The 2.0 e:HEV powertrain is a masterpiece of engineering, combining smoothness, performance, and very low fuel consumption without the constraints of charging. Although its boot is small and its price is high, its almost irreproachable reliability makes it a highly recommended purchase in the long term. The 1.5 Turbo and 2.0 Atmo versions (depending on the market) are also excellent, very robust choices.
