The Genesis GV60 (JW generation, facelift) is a premium compact SUV based on the Hyundai-Kia group's E-GMP platform (shared with the Ioniq 5 and EV6). ATTENTION: Contrary to the request targeting a gasoline engine, the Genesis GV60 is an EXCLUSIVELY 100% electric model (BEV). It has never been produced with a combustion engine (neither gasoline nor diesel). The facelift introduced in 2024/2025 brings subtle aesthetic tweaks, a new infotainment system (ccNC) and, depending on the market, a larger capacity battery (increasing from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh). It is a luxurious vehicle, equipped with an 800V architecture allowing ultra-fast charging, but whose initial reliability was marred by recurring problems related to the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit). Overall rating: An excellent prem
The Genesis GV60 is an extremely accomplished electric vehicle in terms of comfort, charging technology (800V), and performance. However, its reliability is heavily marred by the endemic ICCU problem affecting the E-GMP platform. Purchasing a 2024-2025 model is recommended only if the dealer can prove that the software and hardware recalls regarding the ICCU (24V868000 / 24V204000) have been rigorously applied. Once this defect is corrected, it is a formidable premium alternative to German electric SUVs and Tesla.
