Ford Puma II (SUV) (2019 – 2025)

Reliability score : 7.5/10

The second-generation Ford Puma (unveiled in 2019) marks the return of a mythical nameplate, but in the form of an urban SUV (B-segment) based on the Fiesta Mk7 platform. Positioned above the EcoSport, it quickly established itself as one of Ford's best-sellers in Europe thanks to its dynamic design, incisive road handling, and clever boot incorporating the "MegaBox" (a washable 80-liter compartment under the floor). 🎯 Verdict

The Ford Puma II is one of the most enjoyable urban SUVs to drive on the market. It compensates for its firm comfort and average rear passenger space with outstanding dynamism and practical features like the MegaBox. However, buying a used model requires extreme vigilance. Although Ford has replaced the timing belt with a chain on mHEV versions, the oil pump is still driven by a wet belt. Negligent maintenance or the use of non-compliant oil will lead to engine failure. If you find a first-hand model with a clear service history (Ford network or invoices detailing the oil standard), it's an excellent purchase. The ST 200 hp version is a future collector's item, offering rare sensations in this segment.
