BMW X6 G06 (2019–2025) (2019 – 2025)

Reliability score : 8.0/10

The third-generation BMW X6, known by the internal code G06, was launched in 2019, succeeding the F16. It follows in the lineage of the "Sports Activity Coupé" (SAC) initiated by BMW, combining the robustness of an SUV with the sloping roofline of a coupé. Based on the CLAR platform, shared with the X5 G05, it benefits from the brand's latest technological advancements in chassis, powertrains, and infotainment (iDrive 7, then iDrive 8 after the 2023 facelift). 🎯 Verdict

The BMW X6 G06 is a vehicle that leaves no one indifferent, combining luxury, performance, and a bold design. Its reliability is generally good, especially with the inline six-cylinder engines (B57 diesel and B58 petrol) which are benchmarks in this regard. These versions offer an excellent compromise between performance, driving pleasure, and relative running costs. For a worry-free purchase, I strongly recommend the xDrive30d and xDrive40d diesel versions, as well as the xDrive40i petrol. These engines are robust, proven, and offer a very satisfying driving experience. However, vigilance will be required regarding the maintenance of the AdBlue and DPF systems for diesels, especially if your usage involves many short trips. The V8 versions (M50i, M60i, X6 M) are performance beasts, but their mechanical complexity and associated maintenance costs must be considered. They are aimed at informed buyers, ready to invest in rigorous and potentially costly maintenance. Oil consumption is a point to monitor on these blocks. The plug-in hybrid versions (xDrive45e, xDrive50e) are interesting for their versatility and tax advantages, provided they can be recharged regularly. The reliability
