🎯 Verdict

The BMW X5 G05 is undoubtedly the best premium SUV of its generation. Unlike its predecessors, which suffered from costly mechanical flaws, the G05 shines with the exceptional reliability of its 6-cylinder engines, particularly the B58 gasoline unit (xDrive40i) and its hybrid derivative (xDrive45e). It is a heavy and complex vehicle: maintenance tolerates no negligence (star-marked tires are mandatory, frequent oil changes). V8 versions are reserved for enthusiasts willing to bear a very high running budget. For a used purchase, a 2021-2022 xDrive40i or xDrive45e (before the transition to iDrive 8, with corrected early bugs) represents the safest and most balanced choice on the market.
