🎯 Verdict

The BMW 3 Series G20 is undoubtedly one of the best premium family cars of its decade. By turning its back on the reliability issues of the 2007-2015 period (N47 timing chains, N43/N53 coils/injectors), BMW designed extremely robust powertrains with the 'B' generation of engines. The gasoline versions (320i, 330i and especially the incredible M340i) are to be favored: they offer superior driving pleasure, top-notch reliability, and avoid the complex emissions control problems of diesels (EGR). Purchase is highly recommended, provided you choose a model with a clear history and, if possible, opt for more frequent oil changes (15,000 km) to maximize longevity.
