If you are looking for a vehicle to cover long distances, the diesel versions (320d and 330d) are engineering masterpieces, offering an unbeatable performance/consumption ratio. Basic mechanical reliability is excellent, provided that the EGR cooler recall has been carried out. The gasoline versions (320i, 330i) and the fabulous M340i are equally recommendable.
