Alpine A110 II (2017 – 2021)

Reliability score : 8.5/10

The second-generation Alpine A110 (often called A110 II or AS110) marks the spectacular rebirth of the legendary French brand. Designed around a 100% aluminum chassis and body, it stands out for its featherweight (around 1,100 kg) and its mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive architecture. Positioned as a lighter and more playful alternative to the Porsche 718 Cayman, it prioritizes driving sensations, agility, and suspension comfort over the pure horsepower race. 🎯 Verdict

The Alpine A110 (2017-2021) is a future collector's item and a masterful dynamic success. In terms of reliability, it comes out with flying colors: the 1.8 TCe engine is robust and the aluminum structure ages well. The main annoyances concern the onboard electronics (temperamental multimedia), some interior rattles, and the fragility of the windshield. When buying used, history is the number one criterion: a car that has seen a lot of track use will require special attention to the EDC gearbox (frequent fluid changes) and the running gear. If the maintenance record is crystal clear, it is a highly recommended passion purchase.
