Focusing on the 2.0 TDI: It is an outstanding choice for drivers who cover long distances. The EA288 evo engine is at the peak of its development—refined, incredibly fuel-efficient, and torquey. While the market pushes towards hybrids, the TDI remains the undisputed king for highway cruising and towing. However, DO NOT buy the TDI if your commute is primarily short urban trips; the complex twin-dosing AdBlue system and DPF require heat and distance to function reliably without clogging.
